My Visual Storytelling Lecture at MIT
Last year, I was invited to deliver a lecture on visual storytelling as part of an innovative course called Becoming the Next Bill Nye: Writing and Hosting the Educational Show.
The course is now live on MIT Open Courseware, complete with a video of my lecture. Check it out for insights on animation, storyboarding, and more.
A special thanks goes out to our staff member, John McGowan, who helped students create an on-the-fly digital storyboard during the session, while providing feedback and support while they worked on their own ideas.
This is so informative. I watched it while stirring a big pot of milk for making yogurt for over an hour. It helped to pass the time in an educational way and I found both parts 1 and 2 very engaging. Many of the practices shared in the sessions transfer beautifully to any collaborative resource building process. Thanks for sharing this with those of us who don’t normally shop at MIT!
Thanks, Turtle! My teaching skills are a little rusty, but I hope you found it useful.
