Thanks to John for these awesome drawings.

In the spirit of the holiday, we wanted to list some of the things that we’re thankful for here at Planet Nutshell. Here are our top 8:

1. I’m thankful for my amazing coworkers. Not only do they inspire me every day with their talent and creativity, they are also super sweet! They made me a great card, and gave me a PS Vita to celebrate when I was hired! -Annika

2. I’m thankful for the french press in our office, because I’m a coffee addict. -Annika

3. I’m thankful for Dribbble, and artists sharing their awesome creations on the web. -Trevor

4. I’m thankful for my kids! -Trevor

Looks like creativity runs in the family!

5. I’m thankful for all our clients, who allow us to have fun and be creative. -Josh

6. I’m thankful for the Corporation for Public Broadcasting for financing the math series, and the folks at UEN who have partnered with us to produce it. -Josh

7. I’m thankful for my drawing tablet. -John

Check out our new Nutshell for the talented investment folks over at PJMint! It will teach you why their investment strategies are more adaptive and nimble than traditional strategies, and how they can help you avoid sea monsters and pirates. It’s clear sailing ahead with PJMint!

We think the artwork for this video is pretty swanky, and we hope you think so too!

Planet Nutshell Donates Animation to EV Kids

This past Saturday we were proud to attend and be featured at the Expanding Horizons 2013 gala to benefit Earthen Vessels. Earthen Vessels is a wonderful local organization that “recruits, trains, and mobilizes a motivated volunteer corps of university students to empower inner-city children from the most disadvantaged neighborhoods of Boston to succeed in school and beyond.”

We donated 30 seconds of animation and a tour of our studio to be bid on by the gala attendees during the gala auction. Congratulations to Lou LaRocca, President & CEO of J2 Interactive, for winning the auction! We look forward to working with him and his team, and for their support of Earthen Vessels!

We’ve very excited to announce that we’ve been working on a series of educational math videos with our friends at Utah Education Network. The videos were made possible thanks to a generous grant from the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, and can be found on the PBS Learning Media Library, along with some great supplementary learning materials.

A big thanks to UEN for asking us to produce this awesome educational content, and for giving us a chance to brush up on our math skills in the process.

Check out episodes 1-4, and stay tuned for more MATH SHORTS!
